soft chocolate cake

in these sour days (you can uderstand why if you read my previous post) baking makes me feel a little bit better. i made some chocolate cake - chocolate is always good to confort you that's why i choose this lovely recipe for today.

there is only one problem with this delicious and soft, very chocolate cake: it disappears immediately... as you can see below when i decided to take some pictures of it i realized that there was already less than a half of it left... well it only explains how good it is (was) and should convince you to try to bake it! moreover, like most part of my recipes, is very easy and quick to prepare!

you will need:

-300g (10,5 oz.) of dark chocolate
-250g (8,8 oz.) of butter
-5 eggs
-0,5 cup of sugar
-3/4 cup of flour
-1 and 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
-80 g (2,8 oz.) of minced almonds (almond flour)

preheat the oven to 150°C. in a saucepan melt the chocolate with butter. in the meantime work the eggs with sugar until the mixture is light and dense. mix the flour with baking soda and minced almonds. mix dry ingredients with eggs (avoid mixing for a long time). add chocolate and mix again quickly. put the mixture in a well butterd pan and bake for 50 minutes circa. leave for cooling and if you wish serve with chocolate topping or icing sugar.

Good morning! Stopped by to say hi via SITS. You were two roll callers above me.

That chocolate cake looks so good. Chocolate cake is my favorite type of cake. Lately though I've not tasted or seen any of the ones I used to buy at the pastry shop in town. Your picture looks just like the ones I like.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for sharing the recipe.

I don't think we will ever know why chocolate is so very comforting. Even looking at it puts me at ease.
