black inside

recently it has been quite hard for me to find time for baking but i found a moment to bake one of my favourites: marbled cake! this absolute classic is really yummy and tastes great with both coffee and tea. i hope you will like it and try to make it by yourself!

ostatnio nie mialam za duzo czasu na pieczenie, ale na szczescie znalazlam wolny moment by przygotowac jedno z moich ulubionych ciast: cake marmurkowy! ten prawdziwy kalsyk jest naprawde pyszny i swietnie pasuje zarowno do kawy jak i do herbary. mam nadzieje, ze tez go lubicie, i ze sprobijecie samodzielnie go przygotowac!

you will need, vi servirà, bedziecie potrzebowac:

-200g (7 oz) of flour, di farina, maki
-100g (3,5 oz) of sugar, di zucchero, cukru
-1 tablespoon of vanilla sugar, cucchiaio di zucchero vanigliato, lyzka cukru wamiliowego
-100g (3,5 oz) butter (room temperature), di burro (temperatura ambiente), masla (w temperaturze pokojowej)
-50ml (1/5 cup) of milk, di latte, mleka
-2 eggs, uova, jajka
-2 teaspoons of baking powder, cucchiaini di lievito, lyzeczki proszku do pieczenia
-1 tablespoon of bitter cocoa powder, cucchiaio di cacao amaro in polvere, lyzka gorzkiego kakao w proszku

preheat the oven to 210°C (410 °F). work butter with sugar until it becomes creamy, add slowly egg yolks and milk. mix well. in another bowl combine flour with baking powder and add slowly to the mixture. beat egg whites until they are really firm. divide the mixture in two parts: add vanilla sugar to one and cocoa to another. then add gently egg whites to both parts of the mixtures. butter a plum cake pan and dust it with some flour. put both mixtures in the pan (the white one on the bottom and the dark one on the top). bake for 10 minutes at 210°C (410 °F), then reduce the temperature to 180°C (360°F). bake the cake for 20 more minutes and take off from the oven.

***

rozgrzejcie piec do 210°C (410 °F). utrzyjcie maslo z cukrem az stanie sie miekkie i kremowe, dodajcie zoltka i mleko, i dobrze wymieszajcie. w innej misce polaczcie make z proszkiem do pieczenia i dodajcie do ciasta. ubijcie bialka na sztywna piane. podzielcie ciasto na dwie czesci: do jednej dodajcie cukier waniliowy a do drugiej kakao. dodajcie delikatnie bialka do kazdej z czesci. natluszcie i posypcie maka forme do ciasta. przelozcie ciasto do formy (jasna masa na dnie, ciemna na gorze). pieczcie przez 10 minut w 210°C (410 °F) i obizcie temperature do 180°C (360°F). pieczcie przez kolejne 20 minut i wyjmijcie z pieca.
